Keratin Treatments, Smoothing Treatments, and Express Blow Outs

DO wait 72 hours before shampooing.

DO wear hair down at all times.

DO blow-dry and flat iron hair if hair gets wet during the first 72 hr period.

DO style your hair with a blow-dryer and brush during the 72 hrs if desired.

DO put hair in a shower cap when bathing.

DO wear a silk scarf to pull your hair away from your face.

DO protect the hair from absorbing salt and/or chlorine when swimming by wetting the hair with clear water and applying a Deep Conditioner or Serum/Oil to protect the hair.

DON’T wash or wet hair for 72 hours (3 days).

DON’T tie hair into a ponytail as this may leave a lasting impression.

DON’T wear hair clips, hair bands or bobby pins as these may leave a lasting impression.

DON’T place hair behind ears for long periods of time.

DON’T rest glasses on head or use them to hold the hair back.

DON’T sweat.

Relaxers

Wait to wash: Wait at least a week to schedule for your hair to be shampooed. Shampooing too soon can strip away moisture. 

Avoid heat: Avoid using heat at home. 

Wrap your hair: Wrap your hair at night. 

Don't scratch, wash, or work out before: Avoid scratching, washing, or working out 3–4 days before applying a relaxer. Doing so can irritate your scalp and lead to burning.
